![]() ![]() On the software side, the APP needs an annoying amount of permissions to just run a pair of headphones. I also wish there was some way to have volume up+down as well as the ambient /ANC mode swap, unfortunately you have to just pick one in the software for long press. Software and touch controls 6/10: I must be soulless, it often misses my touch and it's very frustrating to have the song pause then play then pause again because I'm trying to just change to the next track. They are very surprisingly loud, which is a plus. ![]() People who have never used high quality headphones will likely think they sound great. My wired AKGs that came with my Samsung phone sound about the same. That said, comparing buds to full sized cans isn't fair at all, and they do their job nicely for what they are, just nothing to write home about or hype. it's not that it's too extreme, just not very high quality sound, I expected better based on reviews. Both bass and highs are strong, and I DO like V shaped profiles (those E-mu Teaks really spoil me) but. Sound Quality 6/10: I'll preface this by saying I'm a mid/low tier audio listener, my dailies are AKG k7xx and E-MU Teaks hooked up to a very neutral SMSL DAC Amp. Now for work, as a contractor having situational awareness and hearing how the motors on my equipment are running is important, and I really like that I can keep an ear on what's around me. BUT, actually trying to talk to people with this feature (even on max) wasn't great, and I have to take them out while conversing with someone. Basically, yes it amplifies the sounds around you and makes for a more comfortable "my ears are not plugged" experience. That said, first time using any ANC so the actual quality of this feature compared to others is unknown.Īmbient mode 7/10: Very useful, but not as good as I thought it was presented in other reviews. Specifically the clanging of carts around me when walking in and I was turning it on and off continuously looking like a Secret Service agent - I couldn't believe my ears. The buds themselves are a little flashy for my tastes (even in black), I really wish they had a few skin tones or non shiny colours available (even if it looks like a hearing aid, who cares).Īctive Noise Cancelling (ANC) 9/10: I'm astounded at this feature, it far exceeded my expectations, I went shopping in a busy Walmart and it's literally like turning off everyone else. Not exactly in the "forgot I was wearing them" territory though.Ĭase + Design of buds 7/10: The case feels very flimsy/cheap, I would have preferred a more rugged design even at the expense of size or weight, something waterproof would have been ideal. Zero discomfort besides the feeling of your ears being plugged of course. I can shake my head pretty violently and they don't fall out. I was looking to buy Bud Pros, but my local Bestbuy has a no return policy on earbuds, after reading so many "the bud pros fall out" posts I was very nervous, hoping in the worst case scenario I could buy new tips (cp360 L/XL).įit 10/10: Fantastic out of the box, without even changing tips, apparently I have the perfect ear for Samsung buds pro. Making this post for other's future google searches, as I only found negative posts when looking for "buds pro fitment". ![]()
